A man in Massachusetts has been charged with the crime of larceny and workers compensation fraud. Kenneth Doyle, 42, allegedly attempted to get away with obtaining over $18,000 dollars in disability benefits while continuing to work. While allegedly trying to commit fraud, Doyle embezzled $250 dollars.

Officials report that an investigation revealed that Doyle suffered an injury working as a vinyl siding installer for a Medway-based company in April 2012, and began receiving temporary total disability benefits after filing a workers’ compensation claim. While collecting workers compensation money, Doyle also had become an entrepreneur and operated his own siding and window business. Business was booming for Doyle, and he had earned as much as $76,000 dollars from a project that he had completed on a customers roof.

Doyle will find himself in Worcester Superior Court at a later date. The trial is pending and punishment is yet to be decided.
