During “Dog Bite Prevention Week” (Yes that is this week, and I’m pretty sure that Hallmark has a card for that) A reporter from WIS10 in Columbia, SC reported that there has been a big rise in the number of postal carriers receiving dog bites (unwanted-I should add). USPS is saying that carriers are getting double the dog bites over past years.
Why are we reporting this? Because in South Carolina, and many other states, if the dog is unprovoked and bites the postal worker, Mary reports that the dog’s owner is on the hook for workers’ comp.
Now what if the postal worker bites the dog?
